{"id":395,"date":"2014-10-28T08:47:00","date_gmt":"2014-10-28T15:47:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.tangledstrands.com\/?p=395"},"modified":"2014-10-28T08:47:00","modified_gmt":"2014-10-28T15:47:00","slug":"beekeeper","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/blog.tangledstrands.com\/?p=395","title":{"rendered":"Beekeeper"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I have a small stash of fingering weight yarn in two and three skein quantities that I have been saving for small shawls or summer tanks.\u00c2\u00a0 I grab them as I come across them in my wanderings, and they are nearly always in fun colors.\u00c2\u00a0 Not my usual, I know.\u00c2\u00a0 However, the thought is that in order to wear a sleeveless top here in the Pacific Northwest I would need a cardigan too.\u00c2\u00a0 My cardigans are usually in more subdued colors so that the layer peeking out underneath can be a brighter thing.\u00c2\u00a0 Or not, depending on my mood.<\/p>\n<p>The Beekeeper&#8217;s Tank pattern caught my eye as I was wandering through Ravelry this summer.\u00c2\u00a0 It was sunny and warm outside, so I immediately went to the stash in search of a suitable yarn.\u00c2\u00a0 This top isn&#8217;t fitted, so it needed more yardage than a pattern with negative ease would need.\u00c2\u00a0 I finally decided on the three skeins of Araucania Huasco marinating there since midwinter.\u00c2\u00a0 As soon as the blanket project was finished, I cast on.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blog.tangledstrands.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/IMG_20140727_101446_clr_sm.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-396\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.tangledstrands.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/IMG_20140727_101446_clr_sm-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_20140727_101446_clr_sm\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"http:\/\/blog.tangledstrands.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/IMG_20140727_101446_clr_sm-300x225.jpg 300w, http:\/\/blog.tangledstrands.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/IMG_20140727_101446_clr_sm.jpg 1000w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>Look at that color!\u00c2\u00a0 You can&#8217;t help but smile while knitting it.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blog.tangledstrands.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/IMG_3328_clr_sm.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-442\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.tangledstrands.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/IMG_3328_clr_sm-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_3328_clr_sm\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"http:\/\/blog.tangledstrands.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/IMG_3328_clr_sm-300x200.jpg 300w, http:\/\/blog.tangledstrands.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/IMG_3328_clr_sm.jpg 1000w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>This was a fast, easy knit.\u00c2\u00a0 There is no waist shaping;
