rather it is the opposite &#8211; but after a while it&#8217;s nice to see a color other than green.\u00c2\u00a0 Green evergreens, green moss (on <em>everything<\/em>!), green lichen, green grass&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>I also witnessed a large flock of ducks headed north the other day.\u00c2\u00a0 All of which convinces me that we&#8217;re in the clear and it&#8217;s time to plant the veggie garden.\u00c2\u00a0 I&#8217;ve got the first wave of onion sets in (first try at these, crossing fingers), and I&#8217;ll be working on the seeds indoors and out over the next week or so.<\/p>\n<p>In knitting news, I&#8217;ve finished both sleeves on my <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.tangledstrands.com\/?p=811\" target=\"_blank\">handspun cardigan<\/a>.\u00c2\u00a0 Next I&#8217;ll work the rest of the sweater body.\u00c2\u00a0 For the next little bit it will look like an uninteresting puddle of knitting on my needles.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blog.tangledstrands.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/IMG_20160229_142819_clr_sm.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-819\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-819\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.tangledstrands.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/IMG_20160229_142819_clr_sm-224x300.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_20160229_142819_clr_sm\" width=\"224\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"http:\/\/blog.tangledstrands.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/IMG_20160229_142819_clr_sm-224x300.jpg 224w, http:\/\/blog.tangledstrands.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/IMG_20160229_142819_clr_sm.jpg 748w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 224px) 100vw, 224px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>To keep things interesting, I also cast on for a new crescent shawl I dreamed up.\u00c2\u00a0 This one is mid-weight, with lovely cables every so often.\u00c2\u00a0 The effect is of little swirls and pools.\u00c2\u00a0 I am really excited about how it is coming out so far.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blog.tangledstrands.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/IMG_20160229_142607_sm.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-820\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-820\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.tangledstrands.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/IMG_20160229_142607_sm-224x300.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_20160229_142607_sm\" width=\"224\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"http:\/\/blog.tangledstrands.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/IMG_20160229_142607_sm-224x300.jpg 224w, http:\/\/blog.tangledstrands.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/IMG_20160229_142607_sm.jpg 748w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 224px) 100vw, 224px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I am also spinning a bit on the <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.tangledstrands.com\/?p=792\" target=\"_blank\">multi-color project<\/a>.\u00c2\u00a0 If I work on it a little each day, I might finish sometime in the next century.\u00c2\u00a0 At this point, I have completed one bobbin.\u00c2\u00a0 Only two more to go, then I can ply them together.<\/p>\n<p>I think I should queue up some more audiobooks.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>While some of you may still be laboring through winter with mounds of snow all around, Spring has definitely sprung here.\u00c2\u00a0 I have quite a bit of sympathy for you.\u00c2\u00a0 But that won&#8217;t stop me from sharing the wonderful views &hellip;
